New Delhi: Maruti Suzuki has recently launched the Frons. Now the company is preparing for the launch of the new SUV Jimny. Maruti introduced it at the Auto Expo. Its prices are expected to be announced in May. Although the company has not given the official date of its launch.

Jimny and Thar engine
Jimny will be launched with a 1.5 liter K15B petrol engine. This engine will be paired with 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic gearbox. You can choose either of the two. This petrol unit can produce a total power of 103 bhp and torque of 134 Nm.
Whereas Mahindra Thar comes with two diesel engine and one petrol engine option. Talking about the petrol engine only, it gets a 2.0-litre turbo unit. It can generate total power of 150 bhp and torque of 320 Nm. With this, 6-speed manual and automatic transmission are available.
Jimny and Thar Price
Even though the Jimny is yet to be launched in India, the prices have been leaked. The SUV is expected to come at a starting price of Rs. 9.99 lakhs. While the Mahindra Thar also sells at a starting price of 9.99 lakhs. All these prices are as per ex-showroom.
Maruti Fronx has been launched
Maruti Fronx has been launched in India for Rs.7.46 Lakh. The price of its top variant goes up to Rs 13.13 lakh. It will compete with micro SUVs like Tata Punch in the Indian market. According to the company’s claim, this car will give a mileage of about 22 kilometers per liter.
