KIA seems to have been going through a rough patch with the EV 6, the brands flagship Luxury EV. KIA had recalled the vehicle for a software update and a few technical glitches last year but it now appears that the brand might be up to recall about 1380 units of the KIA EV6 again. These are vehicles that have been manufactured between March 3 2022 and the April 14 2023.
As per Kia the recall was due to potential issue with the integrated cord control unit of the vehicle. This might impact the performance of the 12 volt auxiliary battery on the vehicle.
The EV 6 Recalled Again
This recall would mark the second time EV6 has been recalled in India. The car was recalled last year as well for similar issues that caused problems with the use of the 12 volt ancillary unit that the KIA EV 6 was using. KIA would be actively recalling the vehicles and reaching out to buyers who have bought vehicles that were manufactured in that time period. Alternatively customers can reach out to their respective dealers, or book an appointment to get the software fixes that would solve the problem.
KIA has also started reaching out to the dealers who have been affected by these issues.
