Hyundai Unveils its new Hyundai Creta Flex Fuel to be powered by a 1.0 liter turbocharged petrol engine. The new car can run on ethanol fuel blends that are more ecofriendly and better for environment.
While the car is visually similar to that of the normal Creta, The flex fuel version at the 2025 auto expo has various changes under the hood. The drivetrain this one uses is quite different to the normal Creta. The Car would be Powered by a new 1.0 litre engine that has been modified to be able to run on flex fuel as well.
The vehicle is powered by a 1.0 liter flex fuel engine that can run on ethanol fuel blends. The manufacturer has not revealed any details about the vehicle further than the engine specification. No launch schedule for the vehicle has not been shared as well.
Engine Specs
The engine that powers the Creta Flex fuel version is not available with the normal Creta. Although similar engine is available with the i20 n as well as the Hyundai Venue N line. Possibly the one modified to run on flex fuel would have a turbo attached to it. The variants of both the vehicle churn out around 118 bhp along with 172 nm pf peak torque.
Hyundai has released information about how the Creta Flex has been modified to run on flex fuel. The car can run on any fuel blend that contains ethanol in them including the E100 fuel. Additionally , the car can also run on Petrol.
Hyundai Creta Electric
Beyond the following Flex fuel version the Creta Electric has been launched. The Car would be offered in four variants Executive, Smart, Premium and Excellence. The prices for the Creta Electric start from Rs17.99 lakh Rs upto Rs23.50 lakh ex showroom.

Hyundai Creta Electric Variants?
Hyundai has brought the Creta Electric in five trim levels namely – Executive, Smart, Smart(o), Premium and Excellence. It would be beneficial for the interested customer to know that the car would be offered with two battery packs. A 42 KWH battery pack as well as a 51.4 KWH battery pack. The middle of the order (smart) trim would be available with both the battery packs, making it convenient for the buyers choosing the vehicle.
The Issue With All EV’s In The Indian Market

Which cannot be installed at homes and further you would have to visit a charging station to charge the vehicle with a DC fast charger which can be expensive in the long run.
Hyundai has also released specs of a 11kw AC charger that can be installed at home. But as of yet most Indian houses have a electrical house supply of a 7KW at max( can be increased at your will, with higher unit charges). So a 11kW Ac charger could only be installed if you increase your household electricity connection to get the charger installed, but then the per unit charge of electricity might increase as well making the per-charge price more expensive. Hence compatibility issues and extensive charging times still persist to challenge the EV buyer in India.
Performance Of The Specs of Hyundai Creta
The Hyundai Creta Electric would be made available with two battery packs a 42 KWH as as well as a 51.4 KWH battery pack. The 51.4 KWH battery pack would give a claimed range of around 473 km on a single full charge. The Creta Electric line has pledged a acceleration time of around 7.9 seconds for a 0 to a 100 km.
