New Delhi: The legendary two-wheeler company Honda is going to make another big bang in the market. It is reported that the company is going to bring the electric avatar of its most popular scooter Honda Activa. An announcement about this scooter can be made on March 29, 2023. Actually, the company has sent a media invite related to 29 March. Accordingly, the company will reveal its plans for electric two-wheelers on March 29, 2023. It is believed that the scooter will be launched in 2024.
The Activa nameplate can be used in the new electric scooter. This will help the company to connect with the people through the popular name. Also, Honda will not have to spend extra on marketing the electric scooter. The Japanese two-wheeler maker will introduce two electric scooters globally by 2025. Activa e-scooter will be one of them.

The new electric scooter for India has been developed in collaboration with Honda Japan. In fact, Atsushi Ogata, MD and CEO of Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI), confirmed that the first electric vehicle will be ready by the end of the next financial year.

The new Honda Activa electric scooter will get a fixed battery pack under the floorboard and a hub motor at the rear wheel. Honda is also working on removable battery with battery swapping network. However, this setup is likely to be introduced in future vehicles and not the Activa e-scooter. It is expected that the Honda Activa electric scooter will be similar to the petrol scooter in terms of overall look. Will make some changes in the design to give it an EV look.
